Canada still hasn’t taken a big hit from COVID-19 with a case count of 12,375 as of the time this was written. You may notice though, that it is now more than double what it was last week. Clearly, we are far from the decline of the spread and probably won’t be returning to school for a while. We’ll explore what that means for students in Ontario.
March 30th 2020 YRDSB announces they will begin the next phase of their Learning and Caring Plan. The Minister of Education stated the changes made due to COVID-19 will not jeopardize the graduation of any students. More specific details on this are on standby. https://twitter.com/YRDSB/status/1245835436666368000?s=20 There is currently no confirmed date from YRDSB or Education Ontario for when online school/learning is officially starting. Vaughan Secondary School’s classes are all seeming to be resuming on Monday, April 6th 2020. To be sure, check your school email, ask your parents to check their emails regularly, and look at any Moodle or Google Classrooms you’re in to get updates from your teachers.
