by Ria Vaid One cold weekend in the winter of 2019, my family and I decided to go to Niagara Falls to see the frozen falls. It was so cold that we needed to wear layers of clothes. Despite the harsh weather, I didn’t think that the falls would be truly frozen. I thought they were called “The Frozen Falls” because of how cold it was outside. But once we reached Niagara Falls, I was stunned to see that the falls were, in fact, frozen. The risk of freezing my hands by taking them out of my gloves was outweighed by my desire to capture a picture of the beautiful view. Just look at the beautiful view on both the Canadian and American side, look at the cold mist making the view even more gorgeous. Look at the snow everywhere, the white snowy part of the landscape making the image even more delightful to look at. Even though most people enjoy Niagara Falls in the summer, winter is just as magical. Yes, you may feel cold, but it’s totally worth it. This is a digital photograph that Ria took during January of 2019. The idea behind the picture came from the ice cold winter in Canada. Most of the falls are frozen because of the temperature dropping, and the water is practically ice.
